Anxious Children and Dental Fear
Feeling nervous about the dentist is completely normal, especially for little ones. Dr Soha takes the time to help anxious children feel safe, calm and in control, so every visit is a positive one.
Why children feel anxious
Dental fear can come from an unfamiliar environment, new sounds and smells, or a past experience that didn’t go well. Sometimes children simply pick up on the worries of the adults around them. Whatever the cause, we never rush or pressure your child.

Keep the language around dental visits positive and simple. Avoid words like “hurt” or “needle”, and let us know beforehand if your child has had a difficult experience in the past. Bringing a favourite toy or comforter can also help.
